Africa Satellite Navigation Conference High Level Pre-event on the Theme "Leveraging GNSS Technology for Enhanced Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems (MHEWAS), 16th to 17th July, 2025, in hybrid Mode (Virtual and in-person in Praia, Cabo Verde).

Dear Partners,

Under the High Patronage of His Excellency Dr. Olavo Correia, Deputy Prime Minister of Cabo Verde, we are pleased to announce that SatNav Africa Joint Programme Office (JPO), in partnership with the Government of Cabo Verde, Ministry of Digital Economy will be organising a high-level Event on the Theme "Leveraging GNSS Technology for Enhanced Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems (EMHWS) in Africa."

The Conference will focus on the role of GNSS technologies in advancing disaster resilience across the continent and will serve as a pre-event to the International Satellite Navigation Conference of Africa, planned in 2026.

The Pre-Event Conference will be held in hybrid mode (virtually and in-person in Praia, Cabo -Verde), and will feature interactive sessions and expert presentations on key topics such as the integration of satellite data and GNSS technologies, public-private collaboration in early warning system development, and inclusive disaster management to address the needs of vulnerable groups.
